CCA Glasgow / Common Ground / GRAMNet present “The Brexit Tree” on January 29th 2025, a documentary film by Jan Martinec & Clemens Wilhelm. The Brexit Tree was planted on Brexit Day, 31 Jan 2020, in Huntly, Aberdeenshire, Scotland, UK. This Brexit Tree is a weeping willow, the tree symbolizing loss and sorrow, but also healing and rebirth. This documentary follows the three year-long process of Brexit until the final planting ceremony.

After the screening, engage in a lively discussion with the curator, filmmakers and fellow viewers as we delve deeper into the themes of identity, politics, and personal transformation in a post-Brexit world. Clemens Wilhelm, Jan Martinec and curator Claudia Zeiske will be present.
