Czas | Zeit | Time is the motto of the Festival of New Art lAbiRynT for 2025
In this year’s edition of the international art festival, we invite artists to reflect on the concept of ‘time’. Time is one of the most universal but also the most complex themes that can take on a variety of forms and meanings in art. It is the changing reality, the inevitable process of passing away, and the space in which we record our memories, dreams and plans.
Artists are encouraged to explore ‘time’ from various perspectives: from its physical dimension, to our subjective feeling and the philosophical, social or technological changes that shape our lives. Time in art can be both linear and cyclical, frozen in the moment and ephemeral. It can be a theme for reflecting on memory, history, culture, but also the challenges that the future brings.
In this year’s festival, we want to create a space for a variety of artistic activities that attempt to capture the nature of time in the context of human existence, technology or nature through painting, sculpture, music, performance, film or new media.
‘Time’ is a theme open to interpretation and dialogue. We are curious to see how artists will understand it, present it and what questions and answers will emerge from this artistic journey.
